Mazda, Mazda Motor Corporation (マツダ in Japanese, Mazda Motor Corporation in English), is a Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TYO). Ranked 400th on the Fortune Global 500 in 2020.
Founded in 1920, the company was originally called Toyo コルク Industrial Co., Ltd., which was changed to its present name in 1984. The company is headquartered in Ankyune, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, and is currently run by President Marumoto Akira.
Changan Mazda Automobile Co. Ltd
Changan Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd., formerly known as Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. Nanjing Company, was founded on April 19, 2005 and completed and put into operation on September 24, 2007. It is jointly invested and established by Chongqing Changan Automobile Company Limited, a century-old Chinese Automobile enterprise, and Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd., each holding 50% shares. On August 24, 2012, with the approval of the National Development and Reform Commission, Changan Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. became a modern joint venture automobile enterprise with independent legal personality. It is the only overseas vehicle manufacturing enterprise of Mazda that integrates research, development, manufacturing and sales. It owns four major series of models: next-generation Mazda3 Excella, Mazda CX-30, second-generation Mazda CX-5 and Mazda CX-8.
